GG vs DC Women’s Premier League 2024 Highlights: It was a poor display from the Gujarat Giants in the second innings as they struggled to get going from ball one. The early wicket from Shikha Pandey began the fall of wickets. Despite the late surge from Ashleigh Gardner, she was unable to get going as the side eventually lost the match by 25 runs to keep themselves winless. Jess Jonassen and Radha Yadav were the pick of the bowlers with three wickets each to give them the win and send them top of the table.
Meg Lanning top-scored with 55 as Delhi Capitals posted 163/8 against Gujarat Giants in Bengaluru on Sunday. For GG, Meghna Singh was the star performer with the ball, taking 4/37 from her four overs. GG were poor on the field, plenty of misfields and three dropped catches.
Still winless, an under pressure Gujarat Giants will hope to break their duck when they take on Delhi Capitals in the 10th match of WPL 2024. Among the five participants, GG remain the only team yet to register a win so far in the season. They have lost to Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore and UP Warriorz.
On the other hand, DC have won two of their three matches so far. They started their campaign with a close four-wicket defeat to MI before storming to a nine-wicket win over UPW and then beating RCB by 25 runs.
