Jadeja reached a landmark during India\u2019s first innings in the ongoing first Test against the West Indies in Ahmedabad. Coming in to bat after KL Rahul\u2019s dismissal, he scored an unbeaten century. In the process, Jadeja crossed MS Dhoni\u2019s mark of hitting 78 sixes in Test cricket.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The southpaw, who hit one more for maximum, is third on the list of most sixes by an Indian in Tests with 80, behind only Rishabh Pant and Virender Sehwag, who both have 90. Rohit Sharma is close behind them with 88. Jadeja achieved this feat in just 7,213balls, which is far less than Dhoni and Sehwag.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This record is not a big surprise considering Jadeja\u2019s recent form. During the England tour, he made 516 runs in 10 innings at an average of over 86.00 and a strike rate of 55.06, which included five half\u2013centuries and a century.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Against the West Indies, he continued in the same vein, as he remained unbeaten on 104 at the end of the second day. He faced 176 balls and struck six fours and five maximums.
